Our Mobile Health Clinic Has Arrived!
Access to quality healthcare should be available to everyone. That’s why Black Hawk County Public Health is excited to introduce its new mobile health clinic, designed to bring essential health services directly to the community.
Why It Matters
Preventive care and early treatment play a crucial role in improving overall well-being. Our mobile health clinic will provide convenient and confidential healthcare, ensuring community members receive vital services without barriers.
Services Available (May Vary By Event):
Depending on event and lcoation, the mobile clinic can provide the following services to eligible individuals:
- Immunizations through the Vaccines for Children Program (Ages 0-18)
- Oral Health Screenings (Ages 0-20)
- Blood Lead Testing (Ages 0-6)
- Immunizations through the Vaccines for Adults Program (Ages 19 and Older)
- HIV/STI Screenings
- Free Condoms
- Harm reduction kits

Opening Event: Free Health Services for the Community
Community members in need of services are encouraged to attend the mobile health clinic's opening event!
When: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Northeast Iowa Food Bank Parking Lot
1605 Lafayette Street, Waterloo, IA 50703
Services Available:
- Free HIV/STI screenings
- Free MMR vaccines for kids and adults who aren’t up-to-date*
- Community resource information from the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and Operation Threshold
This event is weather-permitting, and all services are provided at no cost to attendees and available on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. To determine if you or your child need the MMR vaccine, please visit our measles page.
