BlackHawk County Public Health is conducting an incentive program to increase vaccination rates among county residents. The program includes a raffle of twenty $500 gift card baskets. Four prizes will be drawn every Friday in July,beginning July 2.
In order to be eligible for vaccine incentives:
· The recipient must be a Black Hawk County resident.
· The recipient must receive their initial COVID-19 vaccination dose between June 11-July 29, 2021.
· The recipient must have a current Black Hawk County address listed in the Iowa Immunization Registry Information System (IRIS).

MercyOne, Peoples Community Health Clinic and UnityPoint Health are offering COVID-19 vaccinations during the Juneteenth celebration on June 19 at Gates Park and at the Waterloo Bucks game on June 21. Check event schedules for additional information.

Most pharmacies in Black Hawk County are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine on a walk-in basis. Visit the Black Hawk County Public Health Vaccination website for links.
The Waterloo Test Iowa site is scheduled to close on Friday, June 25. COVID-19 tests are readily available at most healthcare providers and pharmacies.
Plans are being finalized by the State of Iowa to provide at-home test kits free of charge to Iowa residents.
The COVID-19 status for Black Hawk County is at Moderate with a 14-day average percent test positive rate of 7.4%.
The Delta variant is present in the county.
