Anyone 18 and older vaccinated more than two months ago is eligible for a booster dose.
Pfizer & Moderna
Booster doses are now available for 6 months after original vaccine series completion.
Who is Eligible?
The CDC recommends boosters for the following people:
· Those who are aged 65 and older
· Residents of long-term care settings
· People aged 50-64 with underlying medical conditions
Also eligible for boosters:
· People who work or live in high-risk settings
· Aged 18-49 with underlying medical conditions
Booster Dose
Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

The FDA advisory committee is also scheduled to meet on October 26 to consider the request from Pfizer to allow the use of its vaccine in children 5-11 years of age.

DROP OFF OPTIONS
Activated and completed test kits can be dropped off at: Peoples Community Health Clinic, 905 Franklin Street, Waterloo. Tests received by 1 pm, Monday-Friday, will be transported the same day to the State Hygienic Lab, with results expected within 24 hours. People experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are encouraged to remain at home, separated from other members of their household while they await test results.
