Additional COVID-19 cases in Iowa, Reynolds held a press conference today at 3:30 p.m.

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 6 additional positive cases of Iowans with COVID-19, for a total of 44 positive cases. 642 negative tests have been conducted at the State Hygienic Lab.

Additional COVID-19 cases in Iowa

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of six additional positive cases of Iowans with COVID-19, for a total of 29 positive cases. According to IDPH, three individuals are residents of Johnson County; the other three are residents of Adair, Blackhawk and Dallas Counties.

Black Hawk County Officials Open Emergency Operations Center

In response to COVID-19, Black Hawk County is opening the Emergency Operations Center. This decision is due to the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19. The function of the EOC is to share information and recommendations from disease experts, monitor response activities, and coordinate resources as necessary across the county.

Gov. Reynolds issues a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency

Gov. Reynolds issued a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency activating the public health response and recovery aspects of the State Disaster Emergency Plan effective at noon today, March 17th.

Community Spread Confirmed in Iowa, No Confirmed Case in Black Hawk County

Black Hawk County Prepares for COVID-19 Governor Kim Reynolds confirmed Saturday March 14, 2020 at 8:30pm there is now community spread of COVID-19 in the state after an 18th Iowan tested positive for the virus. The new case is an older adult (61-80 years) in Dallas County.
