Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation modifying public health measures

Wednesday, 12/16/2020, Gov. Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19. These new measures take effect on Thursday December 17, 2020 and expire on January 8, 2021.

Wednesday, 12/09/2020, Gov. Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19. These new measures take effect on December 10 and continue through December 16, 2020.

Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation continuing State Public Health Emergency Declaration

Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the Public Health Disaster Emergency for another 30 days. The proclamation imposes a number of additional public health measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. These new measures will be effective at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11 and will continue until 11:59 p.m. on November 30, 2020.

An update on the challenges of contact tracing during the surge of COVID-19 in Black Hawk County. Guidance on what to do while waiting for test results or if you have been notified as a contact of someone who tests positive. Black Hawk County residents can help limit the spread of COVID-19 by staying home as much as possible, avoiding social gatherings, wearing a face covering when in public, and practicing social distancing. Those with questions on COVID-19 guidelines are encouraged to review the current guidance on the CDC, IDPH, and www.blackhawkcovid19.com websites. The health department is experiencing a large number of phone calls and email messages related to COVID-19 concerns and working to respond as soon as possible.
